Since 1983, Lou has been learning new things about commercial real estate just about every day. In 2002, Lou transformed a company he formed in 1991 into an equity investment group, which became known as Brio Properties. Prior to that he was a Vice President for National Retail Properties (NYSE: NNN) with over 360 properties worth over $1 billion. A CCIM since 1993, Lou was RVP for the CCIM Institute in 2005, before which he was President of the Florida CCIM Chapter. Lou also holds the CPM designation, awarded by IREM and is a member of the IREM National Faculty, and a member of the IREM Foundation Board of Directors and member of the IREM Executive Committee. In his community, Lou serves as Chair of the Keep Winter Park Beautiful Board, is a member of the Winter Park YMCA Board of Advisors, and a member of the Executive Committee of Leadership Winter Park. He is a former board member of The First Republic Corporation of America, a public company with over $100 million of investments, mostly in commercial real estate, and the Apartment Association of Greater Orlando and the Florida Apartment Association.
